Why to use nitrogen for the tire inflation with nitrogen tire filling systemWhy inert tyre gas filling?Formula 1, aviation and hazardous transport trucks use already for a long time inert fillings of tyres. Most of civil drivers do not take care on their tyre pressure. Because the pressure loss is reduced and the fire risk is avoided this filling of tyres contributes substantially to security, comfort and economy. ![]() The compressed air normally existing in the tyre is replaced by an inert filling with tyre gas. This gas is cleaned from particles, oil vapour and humidity. Above all especially this air is oxygen-poor, i.e. inert (= low reactive). What causes inert filling of tyres? Inert tyre gas avoids oxidation at the rim and valve seat. Also the tyre rubber is protected inside against oxidation by the low oxygen share. Inflammations in the tyre inside are not possible any longer, since without oxygen in air no process of combustion can take place. The loss of the molecules by the rubber wall of the tyre (pressure loss by diffusion) is reduced. ![]()

Important note: Also by using the inert filling of tyres regular air pressure controls remain essential. The filling of tyres is innocuously, flame restistant and in each relationship with air mixable.
